2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context)

링크 목적(문맥 내)

Summary

The purpose of each link must be clear from its text, or from its text plus surrounding context. Screen reader users often pull up a list of links in isolation, and the list has to make sense on its own. A page full of "read more" links tells them nothing.

Common failures

  • Repeating opaque link text like "click here" or "read more".
  • Using a raw URL as link text, so a screen reader reads the address character by character.
